He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Baer and Emma Baer (Loeck); his wife Fae Milton Engesmoe; his brothers, Walter Baer (Edna), Rudolph Baer (Gertrude) and Arnold Baer; and his parents-in-law, Joseph, Emma Milton, Harold, Mabel Milton, Lavera Reihe, Francis, Fern Svoboda, Joyce Milton, Vernon, Elaine Moravetz, Eldro, Gloria Juenke, William, Nyla Milton, Clarence and Barbara Milton.
He is survived by: his children, Gordon Engesmoe (Bonnie), Debra Hauge (Gerald), Douglas Baer (Joan) and Gary Baer (Deanna); and his sister-in-law Eldeen Baer. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
