She is survived by: her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Tyler, Spencer, Mia, Zoe and Quinn; her husband Donald Johnson (Rocky); and her sons, Troy Johnson (Amy) and Zack Johnson (Sunny).
As was her way, Rita grabbed the bull by the horns and led a relentless effort to collect and donate hundreds of teddy bears to children fighting cancer.
