He was predeceased by: his parents, William Amundson and Mamie Amundson (Dinger); his brother William Amundson; and his siblings-in-law, Pauline Amundson and Lyle Gray.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Olson; his children, Paul Amundson (Kathy) and Julie Harmon (Brad); and his sister Jean Gray. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and by other relatives and friends.
