He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Bakken and Marion Bakken (Loken); his sister Glenda; his grandson Samuel Bakken; and also, Lela Dluzen (Wayne) and Annette Bauer (Wayne).

He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gullickson; his children, RaeLynn Claveau (Don) and Randy Bakken (Sara); his grandchildren, Tricia Freese (Bryan), Don Claveau, III (Katie), David Claveau (Ariella), Mandy Claveau, Roger Claveau, Joseph Claveau, Nicholas Claveau, Eric Bakken and Dylan Bakken; his brothers, Duane Bakken (Deanna) and Verl Bakken (Colleen); his brother-in-law Allan Gullickson (Susan); and his nephew William Gullickson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials.
