He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Johanson and Ruby Johanson (Pitchford); his daughter Lorraine Johanson; and his sisters, Dorothy Ellingson (Dean), Lorraine Johanson and June Chilman (Walton).
He is survived by: his wife Jo; his children, Sandy Larson (Bryan), Robert Johanson (Jeannie) and Gail Smith; and his sister Jean Swanson (Dave). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
