He is survived by: his wife Elaine Aspen; his sons, Ryan and Tyler; his sisters, Judy Smith (Charles) and Diane Malone (Paul); and his nieces and nephews, Michael Smith (Andrea), Michelle Koch (Rodney), Derrick Malone (Danielle), Kara Merrill (Jacob) and Jared Malone (Alecia). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the North Isanti Baptist Church (2248 313th Ave NE, Cambridge, MN 55008). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
