Theodore John Winter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theodore John Winter of Callaway, Minnesota, who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Winter and Amelia Winter (Orth); his daughter Charlene; his former wife Esther Peterson of Detroit Lakes; his wife Alta Rogers; and his siblings, Milo (Lucille), Herman (Lillian), Lloyd and Veronica "Girlie" Haverkamp (Gordon).
He is survived by: his sons, Roger (Sharon) of Callaway and Darrell (Linda) of Detroit Lakes; and his grandchildren, Stephanie Secrist (Sam) of Otsego, MN, Sarah Helm (Gary) of Burnsville, MN, John Winter (Rhonda) of Glyndon, MN, Amy Lammers (Matt) of Moorhead, MN, Brian Winter (Jessica) of Cottage Grove, MN, Krista Larson (Matt) of Fargo, ND, Karla Cummings (Joe) of Frazee, MN and Elizabeth Winter of Thousand Oaks, CA. He is also survived by 21 great- grandchildren.
Following all Covid-19 safety protocols, and CDC guidelines, social distancing will be practiced.
He performed many auctions in the area and did many charity auctions for clubs, churches, fairs, and even auctioned for the Detroit Lakes Democratic Delegation Party. Ted was also the auctioneer for the charity event that St. Mary's Hospital matched funds for towards the first kidney dialysis machine in Detroit Lakes.
