He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Suzanne Frank Karels; his children, Tim Karels (Denise) of Oak Grove, MN, Connie Deans (Michael) of East Bethel, MN, Tom Karels (Kari) of Isanti, MN and Chris Karels (Tara) of Cambridge, MN; his parents, Lawrence Karels and Leocadia Karels (Becker) of Caledonia, MN; his siblings, Muriel, Joanne, Donald, Leland, Vernon, Virginia, Gerald, Terry, Kathy, George, Mary, Nathalie and Julie; and his sons, Gerald, Dean and Donald. He was also cherished by ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
