Marjorie Birkeland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marjorie Birkeland of Caledonia, Minnesota, who passed away on April 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marjorie Birkeland to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Johnson and Emma Johnson (Kinstler); her husband Lowell Birkeland (Berky); her daughter Sheri; and her siblings, Marilyn Nygaard (Don), Joan Toske (Dave), Darlene Duellman (Bob) and Laverne Johnson (Elaine).
She is survived by: her sons, Steve Birkeland (Kathryn) of La Crescent and Gary Birkeland of Brooklyn Park, MN.; her granddaughters, Jessica Bauman-Matheis (Phillip) of Maple Grove, MN, Latisha Birkeland of Nashville, TN, Laura Simonson (Ethan) of Rushford, MN and Kristin Coldwater (Jacob) of Dakota, MN; and her great grandchildren, Isaiah, Harper Bauman, Sawyer, Kenna and Thatcher Simonson. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (419 E Grove St, Caledonia, MN 55921). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran altar guild, Independent School District 299 and Street Scapes of Caledonia.
