He was predeceased by: his siblings, George, Earl and Anna Collins; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor, Mary Hammell, Robert Collins, Lawrence Walleser, Ernest Blaskowski and Joe Troendle.
He is survived by: his wife Ila Mae Kubitz; his sons, Kevin Hammell (Angela) of Rochester, MN and Steven Hammell of LaCresent, MN; his grandchildren, Abbey Hammell of Burnsville, MN and Anna Hammell of Rochester, MN.; and his siblings, Esther Walleser of Waukon, IA and Larry Hammell of Denver, CO..
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caledonia on Saturday.
