It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of David Harold Schmitz (Caledonia, Minnesota), who passed away on December 31, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aloysius Schmitz and Beatrice Schmitz; and his brother Paul Schmitz. He is survived by: his wife Betty Schmitz; his children, Michael Schmitz (Linda), Laura D'Alexander (Gregory), Richard Schmitz (Jana), Andrew Schmitz and Emily Adams (David); and his stepchildren, Tracy Dowling (Bill) and Tom Paus (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
