He is survived by: his sons, Tony (Heidi) of Blanchardville, Jane Gardner Jones (Mike) and Joe of Elkton; his grandchildren, Heather Rask (Jared), Tanner Gardner, Sophia Gardner, Dylan Gardner, Gabriel Gardner, Tayla Terral (Trey), Brandon Fulcher, Jaycob Jones, Cody Gardner, Nia Gardner (Matt Hendrickson), Carter Gardner, Weston, Easton, Livia and Piper; his siblings, John Gardner of Caledonia and Geraldine Schilling (Clem); and his nephew Greg Schilling of Medina.
