He was predeceased by: his parents, Judith Derke (Sandvig) and Dennis Derke; and his brother Kent Derke. He is survived by: his wife Debra Derke; and his daughters, Megan Thapa (Anish), Nicole Derke and Paige Galles (Mitch).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bloomington Chapel (2300 W Old Shakopee Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55431). A funeral service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Wasburn-McReavy Bloomington Chapel (2300 W Old Shakopee Rd, Minneapolis, MN 55431).
