He was predeceased by: his wife Raeleen "Rae" Kersten; his parents, Arthur and Viola; and his siblings, Richard Kersten (Barbara) and Lynne Thelen.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Parham, Julie Hose (Norm Russo), Sue Mendenhall (Greg), Paul Kersten (Colleen) and John Kersten (Patti); his grandchildren, Kristy (Justin), Marie (Karl), David (Samantha), Laurie, Ashton, Nick (Katie), Matt (Cate), Ali (Ben) and Alec; and his brother-in-law Dick Thelen. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
