With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duette Gothard of Burnsville, Minnesota, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Duette may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her mothers, Ernestine Doerr and Virginia Doerr; her husband Donald W. Gothard; her brothers, James Arthur Doerr (Sandy) and William Vance Doerr; and her grandson Jacob Melton Watterson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Faye Melton, Catherine Watterson (Jim) and Tracey Duette Gothard; her grandchildren, Bryan Arthur Watterson (Alanna) and Taylor Virginia Melton; her great grandchild Avaya Duette Watterson; and her close friend Claudette Cole. She is also survived by loving sister-in-law, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hosanna Church (9600 163rd St W, Lakeville, MN 55044).
