We are sad to announce that on June 23, 2024, at the age of 91, Donald Keith Schimmel of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, German and Irish; his parents, Herbert Schimmel and Alice Schimmel (Barbara Schimmel); his brother William Schimmel; his son Donald Schimmel Jr.; and his granddaughter Abigail Ranzau.

He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Naomi Schimmel and Kenneth Czachowski (Patricia); his nieces and nephews, Mary Schimmel (Justin Schweich) and Thomas Schimmel (Angela); his grandchildren, Victoria Imrit (Ramnauth), Donovan Ranzau (Rae Pixler), Brittany Schimmel, Amelia Ranzau and Danni Schimmel; and his great grandchildren, Samantha, Catherine, Scarlett, Angelo and Ophelia.

He also joined the Park High School Hall of Fame committee, and in 2021 received a lifetime achievement award for his dedication and contributions to his high school.
