She was predeceased by: her father Charles Townsend; her brothers, Terence and Conroy; and her mother Viola Elise Townsend. She is survived by: her husband Donald R. Anderson; and her son Chad (Rhonda).
She was instrumental as a leader and coordinator for an educational task force through the local organization Crossroads providing up-to-date information on rules and requirements for international adoptions, and she wrote and donated a booklet to Crossroads regarding International Adoptions specifically related to Columbia, S.A.
