He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Lekatz and Katherine Lekatz (Minerich); his wife Helen; his son Thomas; and his brother John.

He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Czanstkowski (Robert) of Minneapolis and Daniel Lekatz of Minneapolis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
