Matthew D. Johnson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Matthew D. Johnson of Buffalo, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2025 at the age of 40. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Matthew D. Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clarence, Ruth Kirckof, Clint and Sally Welte; his aunt Debbie Detloff; his uncles, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Detloff; and his cousin Shawna Jacobson.
He is survived by: his parents, Melissa "Ruthie" Johnson (Fisher) of Alexandria and Donald Johnson of Washington; his children, Matthew and Bella; his siblings, Bryan Welte (Kassandra), Megan Conrad (David), Sara Welte, Daina Welte and Kayden Welte; his nieces and nephews, Odin Welte, Hunter Robinson, Toby Koenig, Avangeline Johnson, Scarlett Koenig, Melissa Runge and Elizabeth Conrad; and his aunts and uncles, Matt Fisher (Luan), Kathy Jacobson (Dawn Hazeman), Mike Jacobson, Janice Sorby (Dean), Kelly Kirckof, Alan Welte (Mary) and Sarah Lewis. He is also survived by many cousins and their spouses and children.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Church (1704 Hazel Hill Rd SE, Alexandria, MN 56308). A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Hudson Cemetery (Union Lake Cemetery).
