She was predeceased by: her parents, George LaPlant and C. Mae LaPlant (Holmberg); her husband John "Jack" Raisanen; her son Patrick Raisanen; and her siblings, Marlys Barbeau, Lois Price, Mark LaPlant, Basil LaPlant and Stanley LaPlant.
She is survived by: her children, Rachel Raisanen of Edina, MN, Glen Raisanen of Buffalo, MN, Jill Raisanen of Buffalo, MN, Gale Raisanen of Buffalo, MN, Ava Raisanen of Hayes, VA, John Raisanen (Jennifer) of Buffalo, MN, David Raisanen (Renee) of Albertville, MN and Nila Bursheim (Brian) of Buffalo, MN; her grandchildren, John Raisanen, Rita Young (Jesse), Erin Raisanen, Jacob Smith, Breanda Nealy (Sutton), Lydia, Niklas, Ben and Julia Raisanen; her sisters, Yvonne Degrar of Cloquet, MN and Kay Bastin of Delano, MN; and her pet Penny. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (300 1st Ave NW, Buffalo, MN 55313). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred, or donations to Crossroads Animal Shelter or MOCA (MN Ovarian Cancer Alliance).
