He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Harry" Nieman and Anna "Irma" Nieman (Fietsam); his grandson Brandon Nieman; his brothers, Gordon "Gordy" and Bernard "Bernie" Nieman; his brother-in-law Jack Register (Jack); his niece Sharon Register; and also, Laverne, Joann Nieman, Rita, James Nieman and Brenda Nieman.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Rosemary Schultz; his children, Anthony "Tony" Nieman (Carlene), Nicholas "Nick" Nieman (Nina), Amy Mattila (Robb) and Alison Thiesfeld (Mike); his stepdaughters, Angela Carlson (Todd) and Sarah Sodahl (Ryan); and his siblings, Eileen Register, Mary Friendt (Mel), George Nieman and Dennis Nieman (Carolyn). He is also survived by relatives and dear friends.
A rosary was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (300 1st Ave NW, Buffalo, MN 55313). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
