She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Swier and Alice Swier; her former husband Earl VanderSchaaf; and her children, Vivian Lynn Cowen, Brenda Lou DeJoode, Allen Duane DeJoode (Joan) of Elizabethton, TN and Curtis Lee DeJoode (Vanessa) of Round Mountain, Nevada.. She is also survived by four brothers and one sister; many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Parkview Care Center. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
