He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mortensen and Evelyn Mortensen (Brown); his wife Dorothea Mortensen (Flemming); and his siblings, Alice Olson (Mortensen), Edith Minnick (Mortensen), Mary Raitz (Mortensen), Stanley Mortenson, Lloyd Mortenson, Carroll Mortensen, Darryl Mortensen, Clifford Mortensen, James Mortensen and Lowell Mortensen.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Mortensen (Shirley) of Hector, Diane Homan (Roger Peck) of Hutchinson, Roger Mortensen (Lynda) of Colorado Springs and Robert Mortensen (Sharon Filand) of Cedar Mills. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren; 18 Great-Grandchildren; 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (140 Saturn St, Cosmos, MN 56228). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
