She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ward and Mary Ward (Dyer); her husband Gordon Oswald; her children, Mary, Charlotte, Ruth, David and Mike; and her son-in-law Ken Laskewitz.
She is survived by: her children, Violet Venhuizen (Bill) of Byron, MN, Marvin Oswald (Marilyn) of Blue Earth, MN, Laura Laskewitz of Rochester, MN, Philip Oswald of Brownsdale, MN and Matthew Oswald of Madison Lake, MN; her grandchildren, William J. Jr., Luke, Michelle, Mark, Marcia, Katie, David, Daniel, Ashley, Mitchel, Rachael, Megan, Denae, Dexter, Laine, Leah and Mason; and her sisters, Mary Black (Gene) of Norman, OK and Sylvie Larson of Thor, IA.. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
