He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Speer and Marie Speer. He is survived by: his wife Linda Speer; his daughters, Kristine Nelson (Brett) of Palm Bay, FL, Kari Speer of Austin, MN and Julie Lee (Todd) of New Richmond, WI.; his grandchildren, Blake Knoll, Ryan Nelson, Tina Richter, Tyler Dornfeld, Trey Schaeffer, Kristina Speer and Katie Speer; his great grandchildren, Jasper, Jade, Logan and Kevin; his siblings, Mavis Harvey, Myron Speer, Gary Speer (Betty), Loren Speer (Rose) and Cheryl Riles; and his close friends, Daryl, Linda Gerber, Dan Blemke and Mike Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A burial will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:15 AM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the American Legion Post 111 (464 County Rd V V, Somerset, WI 54025).
