It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Smith of Browns Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on July 27, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eitel Engel and Marie Engel (Langager); her brother Donald Engel; and her grandson Devan Smith. She is survived by: her husband Irvin Smith of Browns Valley; her children, Debby Thomas (Larry) of Moorhead, MN, Sharon Brockhaus (Joe) of Rosholt, SD, Cindy Ward of Browns Valley, Kenneth Smith (Tamie) of Browns Valley, Jeffrey Smith of Browns Valley and Michael Smith (Karen) of Milbank, SD.; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Danielle, Lindsay Thomas, Ana, Lucas Brockhaus, Chad, Charla, Cody, Cole Ward, Elizabeth and Jasmine Smith.
