He was predeceased by: his parents, William Buhl and Mary Buhl (Gonsior); his siblings, Hank Buhl and Mary Summ; and his granddaughter Julie Biermaier.
He is survived by: his spouse Genevieve Berczyk; his children, Sherry Biermaier (Ron), Gerry Buhl (Jo), Sandi Senske (Tom) and Chuck Buhl (Jane); his grandchildren, Mark, Matt, Craig, Katie, Annie, Rachel, Laura, Jennie and Christopher; and his sisters, Angie Colling, Sophie Lamusga and Delores Lamusga. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
