He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert MacKenzie Matthew and Mary Dwyer Matthew; his wife Bette Mae Larson; his sister Helen Brooks of McHenry, Illinois; his children, Sue Carlson (Dale) of Duluth, Jan Matthew of Brookston, Rob Matthew (Anna) and Rick Matthew (Julie) of Grand Junction; and his siblings, Mary Watson of Proctor and Jim Matthew of St. Petersburg. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
