He is survived by: his wife Ann Schlangen; his children, Paul Schlangen (Amanda), Diane Yantes (Ginger) and Adam Schlangen; his grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan, Isaac, Thomas, Chloe, Addison and Julia; his siblings, Marilyn Gruber, Marina Schlangen, Gloria Fink (Bill), Leo Schlangen (Joanne), Sy Schlangen (Betty), Bert Schlangen (Janie), Vic Schlangen (Jan), Ellie Nistler (Tom), Val Hommerding, Karen Cavanaugh, Mary Ulwelling (Frank), Kevin Schlangen (Joyce) and Mike Schlangen (Jane); and his sisters-in-law, Kathy Schlangen, Karen Kuechle (Richard) and Pat Schlangen. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
