He was predeceased by: his mother Linda Schmitt. He is survived by: his father Raymond Schmitt; his brother Steve; his wife Angie; his daughter Melissa Epple (Elliot); and his grandchildren, Nora, Ada and Raymond.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Edinbrook Church (4300 Edinbrook Pkwy, Brooklyn Park, MN 55443). A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
