He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Smith and Alice Smith (Anderson); his parents-in-law, Marvin and Frances Orr (Beach); his siblings, Robert, Marion Bovee (Forest) and Nina Eilers (Wallace); and his nephews, William Bovee, Mark Smith and Michael Mathis.
He is survived by: his wife Karen; his siblings, Keith, Carol Charboneau (Charles) and Karen Jonas; his sister-in-law Marva Mathis (Dale); his children, Kim Wyman (Russell), Tim Smith, Tom Smith (Judy) and Kevin Smith (Angie Ausban); and his grandchildren, Melinda, Michael, Matthew, Jesse, Jason, Jamie, Spencer and Sophie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 11 great-grandkids and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Glen Haven Chapel (5125 W Broadway, Minneapolis, MN 55429).
