With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joann Kay Mathias of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, born in Jamestown, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 12, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eston Mathias and Margaret Mathias (Berge); her grandchildren, Drew and McKenna Olson; her sister Marlys Jensen; her siblings-in-law, Jerry Hoss and Susan Mathias; her nephew Matthew Mathias; and her former husband Randy Olson.

She is survived by: her children, Karmel Smith (Steve) of Brooklyn Park, MN, Rand Olson (Shannon) of Lakeville, MN and Paul Olson of Rosemount, MN; her grandchildren, Cameron Olson, Kole Hotvedt, Lauren OIson, Ashley Olson and Julia Olson; and her siblings, Judy Bair of Jamestown, ND and Wade Mathias of Rosanky, TX..
