We bid farewell to Gerald C. Scherber (Brooklyn Park, Minnesota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 31, 2025 at the age of 89. Gerald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril and Bernadine (Trombley); his brother Bill; his brothers-in-law, Russel Bistodeau and Jim Deane; and his son Timothy.
He is survived by: his wife Mary (Berning); his children, Michael (Julie), Kathleen Thibault (Joe) and Patrick; his grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, David, Mallory, Jacob, Erik and Kathryn; his great grandchildren, Dakota, Jordyn, Liam, Madilyn, Blakley and Cooper; his siblings, Joyce Deane, Gordon (Sally) and Berning; and also Pamela. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (9100 93rd Ave N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St Vincent de Paul Church, St Jude Children's Research Hospital, or, charity of your choice.
