He was predeceased by: his father Adolph "Addie"; and his wife Penny. He is survived by: his mother Mabel Wangerin (Eggert); his pet Manley; his daughters, Wendy (Reggie) and LeAnna (Jared); his stepchildren, Brian (Cassie), Jodi (Ryan), Jill and Benjamin (Courtney); and his grandchildren, Samuel, Annabelle, Cadence, Emma Jean, Riley, Jace, Dezmond and Thomas. He is also survived by eight siblings.
