She is survived by: her husband Richard Bird; her children, Steve Hanson and Lisa Kleven (Jon); and her grandchildren, Matthew Hanson, Tyler Hanson, Katie Downer (Mike) and Dan Kleven. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
