It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David John Zelenak of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zelenak and Elsie Zelenak; his brother Chuck Zelenak; and his grandson Justin Zelenak. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughters, Lisa Freiberg (Adam), Kathy Zelenak and Kristin Jaakola (Matt); his grandchildren, Dan (Shari), Brian (Kim), Nick (Caroline), Corey and Sarah (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Madilyn, Grace, Henry, Taylor, Brooke, Ruby, Beau and Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family for donation to various organizations.
