He was predeceased by: his parents, William Koch and Florence Koch (Hermanson); his wife Violet Lilienthal; his grandchildren, Arianna, Charity and Gabriel; and his great grandchild Weston.

He is survived by: his former wife Vera Lilienthal; and his children, Barb Koch, Jim (Dixie), Gary (Betty), Dale (Gwynn), Ken (Chris), Ray (Kathy) and Russ (Barb). He is also survived by many grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great-great grandsons.

He was also preceded in death by grandchildren Arianna, Charity, Gabriel, and great grandson Weston.
