He was predeceased by: his parents, George M Dieter and Esther Dieter (Frenz) of Brewster, Minnesota.; his granddaughters, Hannah and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Richard Dieter, Jane Selle and Betty Pond.

He is survived by: his children, Deb Mischke (Dean) of Fall Creek, WI, Nancy Snell (Drake) of Tracy, MN, Julie Dellman (David) of Sioux Falls, SD and David Dieter of Brewster, MN; his spouse Jean Mobeck; and his sister Dorothy Gresch (David). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
