He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kurtz and Agnes Kurtz (Stach); his stepfather AJ Kuntz; his brother Burt Kurtz; his niece Aurora Kurtz; and his grandparents, Richard, Dorothy Kurtz, Emil and Josephine Stach.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barb Kurtz (Brent Osborn), Steve Kurtz, Timothy Kurtz (Sherri), Ken Kurtz (Lisa) and Carl Kurtz (Nicole); and his sister-in-law Sally Kurtz (Darin Werner). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
