Kenneth Elmer Shelstad Obituary
We bid farewell to Kenneth Elmer Shelstad of Breckenridge, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 9, 2025 at the age of 85. Kenneth Elmer touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Shelstad and Myrtle Shelstad (Kerch); his siblings, John Shelstad (Norma), Irene Henjum (Arnie) and Eleanor Burgett (Bill); and his brothers-in-law, Dale Jackson and Reynold Ellingson.
He is survived by: his wife Roxanne Shelstad (McKee) of Yankton, SD; his children, Rebecca Bissinger (Randy), Eric Shelstad and Jen Shelstad; his grandchildren, Matthew Bissinger (Marah), Megan Stezka, Michael Bissinger and David Bissinger; his great grandchild Maya Bissinger; his siblings, Roger Shelstad (Eunice), Marlys Jackson and Carolyn Ellingson; and his sister-in-law Karyn Kyte (Tom). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home (224 6th St N, Wahpeton, ND 58075). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
