It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Olson of Breckenridge, Minnesota, who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bruce Allen Olson; her parents, Merlyn Dennis DeFries and Shirley Ann Willemssen (King); her stepfather Donald Lee Willemssen; her sisters, Shiralyn "Kate" Kay Subish (DeFries) and Patty Ann Muller (DeFries); her nieces, JaCinda Kaye Muller and Rhonda Michelle Stroup (Muller); and her stepsister Katherine Wagner (Muller).
She is survived by: her former husband Jeffery S. McCuistian; her daughter Amanda Kimbel (Travis Mikkelson); her grandchildren, Morgan Miller (Sam Kurth), Peyton, Ashton and Braxton Mikkelson; her great grandchildren, Javion, Kaliyah, Myiesha, Kamani and Kamari; her siblings, Diane Haugen (Lester) of Fergus Falls, MN, Sherry Mills (Glen) of Battle Lake, MN, Cindy DeFries (Rick Burhans), Dennis DeFries of Breckenridge, MN, Gary DeFries (Paula) of Foxhome, MN, Connie Deal (Jim) of Doran, MN, Jeff DeFries of Pelican Rapids, MN, Jody Hanson of Tempe, AZ and Shawn Steele (Dwight) of Jamestown, ND; her stepsiblings, Jim Muller (Sonia) of Foxhome, MN, Roger Muller of Foxhome, MN, Ken Muller (Shari Johnson), Les Muller of Foxhome, MN, Carol Klemm (Curt) of Rosholt, SD and Gary Muller (Sally) of Fergus Falls, MN; her siblings-in-law, Sharon Olson of Breckenridge, MN and Lynn Nelson of Fairmont, ND; her close friends, Lynn Deal, Chris Bosen, Shane Miller and Milo Korbel; and her pet Smokey. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She also worked for several years at Minn-Dak Farmer's Cooperative, St. Francis Nursing Home, St. Catherine's Living Center, and Red River Human Services Foundation.
