It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donna Willemssen of Breckenridge, Minnesota, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis J. Sr. Lee and Rema Lee (Lenzen); her husband Thaine Willemssen; her sons, Donald, Gary, Rodney and Leslie "Les" Willemssen; her son-in-law Bruce P. Krause; and her brothers, James Lee (Evelyn) and Willis "Buzz" Lee.

She is survived by: her children, Thomas Willemssen (Kim) of Breckenridge, MN, Karleen Krause of Christine, ND, Shelly Willemssen of Breckenridge, MN and Patsy Willemssen of Wahpeton, ND; her siblings, Jeannine Amon (Gabe) of Crookston, MN, Mary Gadow (Robert) of Foxhome, MN and Douglas Lee (Fran) of Tuscan, AZ; her great grandchildren, Adam (Monica), Kayleigh Willemssen, Darcie (Eric), Gannon Cribb, Derek Willemssen and Alysha (Tanner); her children, Lawson, Danika and Zach; her grandchild Thomas Willemssen; and her children, Meghan (Carl), Theodore, Clara, Chelsea (Blaise), Thane, Reyna, Jade Krause and Christina Willemssen.

Donna was an expert at knitting, needlepoint, crocheting, hardanger, and tatting; creating beautiful afghans, blankets, scarves, and baby sets, for all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as making countless knitted items for donation through church drives for the less fortunate.
