It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Townsend of Brandon, Minnesota, born in Alexandria, Minnesota, who passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Lund and Josie Lund (Halgrimson); her brothers, Edsel Lund and Melvin Lund; and her parents-in-law, Max and Ruth Townsend.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Townsend of Garfield; her sons, Michael Townsend (Jewel) of Miltona and Jay Townsend (Jodi) of Garfield; her grandchildren, Megan Townsend of Miltona, Daniel Townsend of Miltona and Gracie Pollock of Garfield; her siblings, Grace Heinrich of St. Paul, Corrine Kruize (Harry) of Donnelly, Jean Esala (Charles) of Brandon, John Lund (Karen) of Brandon, Wayne Lund of Brandon and Chester Lund (Nanette) of Bandera, TX; and her brother-in-law Thomas Townsend (Cindy) of Alexandria. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Moe Lutheran Church.
