He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fust and Anna Fust (Suurmeyer); and his siblings, Eleanor, Betty and Ray.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his son Matt (Steve Leech); and his grandchildren, Freda Hawver Pachter and Jacob Hawver Pachter (Leah).
