He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Kotula and Frances Kotula; and his son Steve Kotula. He is survived by: his wife Bette; his children, Cathy Dens (Kevin), Cindy Roggenkamp (Tim) and David Kotula (Nancy); his grandchildren, Kyle Roggenkamp (Lisa), Jake Roggenkamp (LIndsey), Jennifer Dens Higano (Alex), Christopher Dens (Mandy), Sarah Salo (Morgan), Alex Kotula (Marie), Adam Kotula, Charlie Kotula, Mary Kotula, Audrey Kotula and Peter Kotula; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Emily, Della, Finn, Theia, Levi, Hadley, Waldo, Anna, Mason and Renzo.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church (1108 Willow St, Brainerd, MN 56401). A burial was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Mn State Veterans Cemetery (15550 MN-115, Little Falls, MN 56345).
