He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hayes and Inis Hayes (Bourassa); his daughter Karen Teale; his son-in-law Rick Waltz; his grandchildren, Shannon O'Brien and Jared Hackel; his brother Wayne Hayes; his sister-in-law Joanne Hayes; and his niece Nadine Hayes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Joanne Hayes (Rundquist); his children, Cathy Hayes (Ron Bolland), Wayne Hayes (Shawna), Robin Kuechle (Ron) and Richard Hayes (Valerie); and his son-in-law Tom Teale. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 6 soon to be 7 great-great grandchildren and many good friends.
