It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Mogensen (Brainerd, Minnesota), who passed away on March 6, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Mogensen and Luella Mogensen; his former wife Lois Jane Larson; and his siblings, Anton "Tony" Mogensen and Evelyn Wolvert.

He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Archibald; his siblings, Lucille Schellin, Anona Mogensen, Milton (Rhodora Halverson) and Ronald (Liz Larson); his close friend Mary Ann Erickson; and his stepchildren, Linda Peterson (Tom) of Virginia, MN, Bruce Mogensen (Theresa) of Fredericksburg, VA, Greg Archibald of Tower, MN, Patti Jo Mogensen of Blaine, MN, Scott Archibald of St. Paul, MN and Rahn Mogensen (Rosie) of New Brighton, MN. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made to the Brainerd, MN VFW Post 1647 Buddy Poppy program.

“I am so sorry I missed seeing the obituary of Maurie. I used to exchange emails with him on an irregular basis. I recently sent him one and obviously didn’t get an answer. I asked my son, John, to check with Bev’s son at Lake Vermillion and got the sad news. In recent years he drove to St Cloud for our monthly old timers friends of Beaudreau’s Bar suppers. Of course we haven’t been together for over a year due to COVID-19. My sympathy. Mary Lou Kerber”
