He is survived by : his daughter-in-law Leola Johnson; his granddaughters, Caelan Dunlap (Joe), McKennan Johnson (Talon) and Karsan Johnson (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Nolan and Magnolia Dunlap; his siblings, Carol Helgeson (Rolland) of Buffalo, MN, Denise Bang (Ron) of Red Wing, MN, Rick Johnson (Kim) of Brainerd, MN and Debra Thiesse (Loren) of Brainerd, MN; and his friends, Saundra Swearingen and Charlotte Wheeler. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home (202 8th Ave NE, Brainerd, MN 56401). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
