He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Dressel and Mary Dressel (Gebo); and his sister Pam Dressel. He is survived by: his significant other Beth; his children, Jason Dressel (Jen) and Ashley Welu (Rory); and his grandchildren, Vivian, Jameson, Bria and Willa.

“We became friends at young age at youth group at Calvary Presbyterian Church in North Minneapolis. We were close throughout high school at Patrick Henry High. We had a lot of fun. Mark was generous enough to take me up to his folks place at Walt's Trailer Park on Cross Lake. He taught me how to water ski and showed me the beauty of the Whitefish chain of lakes. I will miss him and regret not reaching out sooner. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Gary Amundsen”
