John Davis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Davis (Brainerd, Minnesota), who passed away on January 14, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, John shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Davis and Gladys Davis (Freese); his former wife Patricia Ann Davis; and his sister Marcella Williams (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Davis; and his children, Deborah Davis Hudak (Gregory), Joseph Davis (Janette), Matthew Davis, Mike Davis (Kate), Ben Davis (Dawn) and Bill Vanden Avond (Renee). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Halvorson-Taylor Funeral Home (512 S 8th St, Brainerd, MN 56401). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
